- Demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical design concepts and communicate design tradeoffs clearly.
- Apply engineering best practices to develop and refine mechanical solutions of moderate to high complexity.
- Solve engineering problems with appropriate autonomy and elevate when needed; contribute to more complex efforts with guidance and collaboration.
- Translate high-level product objectives into clear, actionable mechanical requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to support clear communication, technical input, and tradeoff evaluation.
- Support project scheduling, change management, and design reviews.
- Work with global supply-base partners to evaluate options and identify cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements, risks, and design constraints.
Develop platform-level mechanical solutions that:
- Utilize scalable electro-mechanical architectures
- Provide precision signal-delivery and docking solutions
- Achieve high reliability across diverse thermal environments
- Consider end-user needs, manufacturability, cost, and time-to-market
- Support the latest generation of advanced semiconductor testing systems
- Contribute to technical capability roadmaps and help identify future mechanical needs.
- Participate in company-wide initiatives as a technical contributor or subject‑matter resource.
- Generate ideas, design improvements, and documentation that strengthen mechanical execution.
- Facilitate or contribute to design reviews and support the development of less‑experienced engineers as appropriate.
- Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS for CAD, Solid Works Simulation or ANSYS for FEA, and PDM/Teamcenter for data management.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T standards and practical application, including tolerance analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including internal and customer‑facing presentations.
- Ability to create clear technical reports, procedures, and documentation.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills for components and subsystems.
- Experience collaborating within cross‑functional project teams; ability to support and guide smaller efforts or work streams.
- Familiarity with SEMI standards is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10‑15 years of relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree with 6‑10 years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 10%
