Network Engineer
Overview
Network Engineers are responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of the company’s networking infrastructure, providing uninterrupted, redundant, and reliable high‑speed connectivity to support an exceptional user experience. This role involves resolving day‑to‑day technical issues, addressing support requests, and participating in long‑term projects to enhance our data networking infrastructure. The role is preferred to be hybrid out of our Agoura Hills, CA office but can be 100% remote for the right candidate.
This role pays between $95,000 and $120,000 and includes an annual bonus.
- Configure and maintain networking equipment and servers, including wireless access points, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Develop and maintain automation and monitoring scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure continuous monitoring of the data networking infrastructure.
- Provide prompt incident response, participate in outage bridges, and offer guidance on resolving emerging issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity‑related issues, including loss of connectivity and network slowness.
- Perform physical maintenance and troubleshooting for connectivity issues, including the installation of switches/routers, cabling, and power systems (UPS and PDUs).
- Maintain and troubleshoot various network services, such as DHCP, DNS, and time servers.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support network‑related projects and initiatives.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.
- 2+ years of experience in computer networking.
- Reasonable knowledge of the OSI model and networking protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, OSPF, BGP, etc.).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, bash).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- AWS/Azure cloud experience is a plus.
- Associate‑level certification (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
