Statutory Reporting Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise bank reconciliations for bank accounts across multiple entities ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies while maintaining General Ledger integrity.
• Oversee automated treasury accounting entries via Quantum including deposits, loans, sukuk, and hedging activities, ensuring accurate SAP integration.
• Manage debt and investment accounting, including principal movements, interest accruals and settlements, amortization of fees and premiums, and profit distributions in line with Group policies and IFRS requirements.
• Handle intercompany funding settlements, cash pooling, and centralized payment accounting activities.
• Perform foreign currency revaluation and remeasurement activities in compliance with IFRS IAS 21 and validate FX gains and losses.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Treasury Accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly foreign currency accounting and financial instruments.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP and treasury systems (e.g., Quantum) is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem‑solving skills.

• Previous experience with Big 4 accounting firms.
• Previous experience in Financial Control departments within the Banking sector.
• Strong SAP knowledge.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA.
