We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. The Payroll Officer will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and maintaining compliance with local labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for maintaining employee records, processing new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. The Payroll Officer will be the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries and will work closely with HR and finance teams to resolve any discrepancies.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
  • Calculate and verify hours worked, overtime, and deductions to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management and finance departments, analyzing data for discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations regarding payroll and employee compensation.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure smooth onboarding of new employees and accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Preferred Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and SAP, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and regulations related to payroll and employee compensation.
  • Strong time management skills to meet payroll deadlines consistently.
  • Professional certification in payroll management is a plus.
