Packaged Gases Operations Manager

Oversees and optimize all operational aspects of the gas filling and distribution facility, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all facility processes, including cylinder filling, testing, maintenance, storage, and distribution of high-quality packaged gases (oxygen, speciality gases, and industrial gases) to meet customer demand while adhering to all safety regulations and company standards.

• Lead and oversee all production, operations, and distribution activities.
• Set, monitor, and review departmental KPIs to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability.
• Challenge and support team leaders to exceed performance targets and implement best practices across all functions.
• Align operational strategies with company growth objectives and ensure readiness to scale operations as demand increases.

• Ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality filling of medical, industrial, and specialty gases.
• Optimize plant productivity through process improvements, automation, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Introduce new product lines and technologies in coordination with technical teams to meet evolving customer and market needs.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and technical upgrades to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team to align operations with customer demand and market forecasts.
• Provide technical support during customer visits, product demonstrations, and application discussions to help secure new business.
• Proactively engage with key clients to understand their needs, resolve issues, and strengthen long-term relationships

• Ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of gas products through efficient fleet and cylinder logistics management.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs and maximizing cylinder utilization.
• Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations on transport, safety, and handling of compressed gases.

• Build and lead a high-performance operations team with a strong culture of safety, discipline, and innovation.
• Mentor and develop plant, logistics, and quality managers, promoting cross-functional collaboration and leadership growth.
• Foster an environment of accountability, ownership, and open communication across all operational levels.

• Uphold the highest standards of operational safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Partner with the QHSE team to ensure risks are mitigated and safety programs are actively enforced and improved.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, (chemical, mechanical, or related field)
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a similar operations management role, preferably from the gases industry or similar field
• Deep understanding of industrial gas cylinder filling and distribution processes
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements for the handling and transport of compressed gases
