We are seeking a results-driven B2B Generator Sales Specialist to develop and expand sales of diesel, gas, and standby power generators to commercial, industrial, construction, telecommunications, healthcare, and government sectors. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and deliver customized power solutions that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development- Identify and pursue new B2B sales opportunities for generator systems and power solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, facility managers, industrial clients, and procurement departments.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, site visits, referrals, and industry events.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Assess customer power requirements and recommend suitable generator solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with decision-makers.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to ensure solutions meet customer specifications.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements.
- Maintain long‑term relationships with existing customers and identify upselling opportunities.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through responsive support and follow‑up.
- Liaise with operations, logistics, and service departments to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and resolve customer concerns during implementation.
- Support generator commissioning and handover activities when required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Track competitor activities and market developments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in generators, power solutions, industrial equipment, electrical systems, or construction-related products.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
- Understanding of diesel generators, gas generators, ATS systems, synchronization panels, and power distribution solutions.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Knowledge of industrial, commercial, and backup power applications.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Relationship-building and account management expertise.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Revenue and gross profit generated.
- Number of new accounts acquired.
- Tender and proposal conversion rate.
- Sales pipeline value and forecast accuracy.
- Customer retention and satisfaction levels.
- Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Experience selling generator brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, FG Wilson, or similar industrial power solutions.
- Experience handling government, oil & gas, telecom, healthcare, data center, or construction sector clients.
