Wireline Operator

Responsibilities

• Assist Field Engineers in delivering high quality services to our clients.
• Operate wellsite operations safely and efficiently under crew chief direction.
• Maintain hand tools and ready-box assignments, cleaning all equipment post job.
• Ensure completeness and readiness of operating cell, reporting to crew chief.
• Operate winch unit for running in and out of the hole, monitor tension meter, cable speed, depth and spooling, understand depth control and weight indicator systems.
• Use all winch cable safety controls.
• Prepare wells for service operations, align logging unit, install sheave wheel, thread cable and connect multiple tools as required.
• Load/unload required tools and surface instrumentation.
• Assist Engineer in post‑job maintenance checks of tools and equipment.
• Participate in inspecting, maintaining and repairing primary tools, service units and associated equipment per maintenance program.
• Learn to service, maintain and assist in cable maintenance.
• Identify surface instrumentation tools required for each service.
• Observe safe‑working practices, wear required safety equipment, report hazards immediately.
• Maintain tools shop and equipment in good condition, keep shop and work area clean and orderly.
• Drive assigned vehicle and transport units, logging trucks if holding applicable license.
• Study assigned learning material and tasks in the Operator section of the training manual.
• Perform agreed yearly individual KPIs.
• Work well with other employees to ensure smooth operation of the location.
• Support training of Junior Operators as required.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Ensure work areas are safe, clean and orderly at all times.
• Update rig books and keep paperwork (z‑chart etc.) in good order.
• Follow company policies and procedures on health, safety and environment.
• Support Management efforts to minimize HSE risks and promote respect and adherence to safety regulations.
• Conduct unsafe act and hazardous situation audits and identification.
• Continuously optimize safety and efficiency of maintenance procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company and client information.
• Ensure journey management is completed for each mobilization.
• Assist in company HSE Q related functions.

• High school diploma or higher.
• 2+ years in Wireline Logging Operations or equivalent of 6 years’ experience.
• Valid Light Driving License;
  Heavy Driving License preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, understanding of basic mathematics and principles of electricity.
• Knowledge of Windows‑based systems; ICDL preferred.
• Physical ability to respond to emergency situations immediately.
• Willingness to work under varying conditions and in remote locations.
• Ability to perform under time constraints.
• Good communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, positive attitude towards health, safety and environment.
• Basic English reading, writing and speaking.
