Skilled Mason

As a skilled mason you will be responsible for constructing repairing and maintaining structures made of brick stone concrete blocks or other materials You will work with a team of other masons and laborers to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner

• Build and repair walls floors patios chimneys and other structures according to blueprints or specifications
• Lay out patterns or foundations using chalk lines or plumb bobs
• Mix mortar and grout according to ratios to ensure proper strength and consistency
• Cut or trim bricks and stones to fit around windows doors or other obstacles
• Install insulation materials or seal joints between bricks or stones
• Repair cracks or crumbling mortar in existing structures
• Operate equipment such as scaffolding hoists levels etc safely and effectively
• Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and others on the job site

• Previous experience as a mason preferred but not required
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
• Knowledge of different types of bricks and stones used in construction
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
• Attention to detail for precise measurements and cuts
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members

Salary 1100$ per month
