As the Lead Automotive Technician, you're the go-to expert for mechanical repairs in our service center, trusted with professionally servicing our guests' vehicles to ensure top-quality work and an outstanding guest experience. In this role, you will have the ability to increase your weekly pay by the flat-rate hours you produce, and an unlimited earnings potential based on flagged hours. With comprehensive training programs, you'll be certified to perform a wide range of mechanical services, including lubrication, core tasks, brakes, and tires, giving you the skills and confidence to excel in your role.

HOW YOU WILL DRIVE SUCCESS:

Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours

Personally road test automobiles (both before and after service work is performed)
Performs inspections on assigned vehicles following TCC procedures and reports findings to Customer Service Advisors Adequately explains mechanical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include teammates and Guests on an as-required basis

Performs tasks for which they are qualified in one or more of the following areas: brakes, electrical, engine performance, engine repair, heating/air conditioning, suspension/steering, automatic transmissions/transaxles and manual drive trains and axles

Maintain training module completion in our training system

Ensure that the service center, specifically their workstation, is clean and presentable

Ability to use our current computer system to provide estimates for parts and labor

You will be using the following programs and apps such as All DATA, Auto Zone, O'Reilly, Advance Auto Parts, NAPA, etc.

Secondary duties may include performing ancillary services such as:

Lubrication such as Transmission and Radiator fluid exchange

Fuel Services such as Fuel Filter and Fuel System Cleaning Tire Rotations and Gearbox Service Any other duties as assigned by store leadership UNDER THE HOOD –

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

3 Years of automotive experience minimum3-5 Years of experience diagnosing vehicles minimum.

ASE certification A1-A8

Preferred Qualifications /

Certifications:

National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in A5 - Brakes Certification Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) in Engine performance, Suspension & Steering, Electrical Systems, Heating & Air Conditioning preferred.

Automotive technical or trade school degree a plus

High school diploma or equivalent
