Maritime Risk Management Specialist

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Maritime Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Oahu, Hawaii. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drafts and develops Maritime Risk Assessment Plans and safety documentation for senior review and validation.
• Maintain detailed records of vessel safety certifications and facilitate communication between the prime contractor and insurance partners.
• Prepare routine reports on maritime risk metrics and safety performance for Mission Partners.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for managing maritime pollution prevention and safety compliance.
• Facilitate the coordination of vessel inspections and ensure all maritime platforms are seaworthy and properly manned.
• Prepare risk status updates for inclusion in the unclassified document library and management portal.
• Takes direction, guidance, and mentoring from more senior staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Safety, Business, or a related field (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
• 3+ years of position-relevant experience.
• Proficiency in maritime safety regulations and USCG standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of position-relevant experience.
• Experience with international standards for vessel berthing and husbanding.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must hold an active DOD Public Trust clearance

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
