Position OverviewOur team is looking for an experienced construction Superintendent to supervise craft employees and ensure projects are safely completed on time. As a Superintendent, you will play a key role in the success of Weeks Marine projects across the Hawaii/Pacific region. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with craft workers, job teams, and engineers. Responsibilities- Supervise crew(s) and craft workers in the application of all projects.
- Manage productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Collaborate with engineers and job teams to determine project needs.
- Utilize equipment, material, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs.
- Set performance goals and deadlines.
- Coordinate and interface with superintendents and foremen to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
- Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
- Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Keep track of material stock and orders.
- Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed, including safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company’s non‑harassment and nondiscrimination policies.
- Perform additional ad hoc assignments per management’s direction.
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5–10 years in a supervisory role.
- Professional knowledge of heavy civil and marine infrastructure; marine infrastructure is preferred.
- Project experience with ports, docks, wharves, piers, bridges, or other waterfront structures.
- Ability to run multiple crews across various construction scopes.
- Knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and related documents.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
- General computer skills with Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel).
- Organizational and time‑management skills.
- Experience with cranes is preferred.
- Ability to manage and inspire others.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others.
- Perform work safely and effectively; understand and follow oral and written instructions, warning signs, and equipment policies.
- Work during normal operating hours, including overtime and weekends as required.
- Field roles only; may work at various locations and conditions may vary.
Base Compensation: $138,000/yr – $144,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation based on education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
