Laborer Entry Level
This role provides general labor support for construction activities at Fort Shafter, including material handling, site cleaning, and safety monitoring. The position follows a daytime schedule and requires successful completion of a site-specific training session and clearance to access the work location.
Responsibilities- Move and organize construction supplies and materials around the job site in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform general labor tasks to support ongoing construction and production activities as directed by site supervisors.
- Conduct safety watch duties, monitoring work areas to help ensure that safety procedures are followed.
- Clean and maintain the job site, including removal of debris and organization of work areas to meet safety regulations.
- Follow all site-specific safety rules and regulations while working at Fort Shafter (AMR).
- Attend and successfully complete required training at Scofield on Tuesday at 11 a.m. prior to starting work.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding work progress, safety concerns, and material needs.
- Experience performing general labor duties in construction or production environments.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move construction supplies and materials throughout the workday.
- Understanding of basic safety practices on construction sites, including awareness of hazards and use of safe work methods.
- Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Capability to maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Reliability to work a 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule and attend mandatory training sessions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, production, or general labor roles.
- Comfort working in outdoor or semi-outdoor environments on active job sites.
- Strong attention to safety and willingness to serve in a safety watch capacity.
- Basic understanding of construction site operations and material handling.
- Willingness to complete site-specific training at Scofield as required.

This is a permanent position based out of Aiea, HI.
Pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
