Our work depends on a Systems Engineer SME joining our team to support USPACOM J6 mission outcomes through Mission Partner Environment (MPE) engineering planning and development, modernization, secure integration, and operational collaboration across the Pacific.
GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineer SME to support USPACOM J6 Mission Partner Environment (MPE) Engineering Planning and Development activities at Camp Smith, HI, helping modernize enterprise IT capabilities and strengthen mission partner interoperability across the Pacific.
Responsibilities- Support architecture, engineering planning, and design activities for Mission Partner Environment (MPE) Engineering Planning and Development.
- Translate operational and mission partner requirements into executable technical plans, designs, and integration actions.
- Perform systems engineering analysis, integration planning, documentation, and technical coordination across enterprise environments.
- Support requirements management, test planning, technical risk analysis, and operational transition activities.
- Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.
- Education:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field. - Required Experience:
8+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoW/enterprise IT environment. - Required Technical
Skills:
systems engineering; requirements analysis; architecture documentation; integration planning; technical risk assessment; stakeholder coordination. - Security Clearance Level: Active Secret.
- Required
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication, analytical problem‑solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and ability to coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams. - Preferred
Skills:
Experience supporting USPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments. Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders. - Location:
On customer site at Camp Smith, HI.

Salary range: $124,093 - $166,750. Salary will be based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
