Overview

With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center.

Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

The Respiratory Therapy team partners with health care professionals across the continuum of care to provide quality therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for our patients with acute or chronic cardiopulmonary disorders. Our certified respiratory therapists are specialized in both cardiac and pulmonary nursing and medicine, and work with patients to improve lung function through exercises, special medications and the use of oxygen equipment.

This experienced team incorporates evidence-based practice and state-of-the-art technologies in their practice to improve patient experience while at our hospitals and clinics.

As the Respiratory Care Assistant, you will help to provide quality, compassionate respiratory therapy services to patients and their families by performing routine EKG duties and maintaining respiratory therapy stock and equipment. We are looking for someone thorough and self-directed, with strong communications and organizational skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Respiratory Care

• High school or equivalent. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

• One (1) year experience performing EKGs, basic computer skills, stocking, inventory, or general utility experience in a clinical setting.
