Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc.) is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a W2 Contract position based in Wailuku, HI.
Schedule:
Day, Monday through Friday, 5 8's, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation:
Hourly rate of $65.00 - $75.00

Summary:
Under supervision, assists nuclear medicine physicians in performing and evaluating clinical procedures in the Nuclear Medicine service area.
Essential Functions:
- Performs nuclear medicine procedures and radiopharmaceutical therapy, including patient positioning, protocol selection, and scheduling. Ensures proper documentation and maintains patient privacy.
- Handles radioactive materials safely, verifies orders, logs receipt, stores materials per regulations, and prepares radiopharmaceuticals.
- Administers radiopharmaceutical doses, assists in radionuclide therapy, and ensures safety during preparation and administration.
- Prepares images for interpretation, maintains equipment, and reports malfunctions.
- Provides patient care, explains procedures, and ensures safety measures, including radiation safety protocols.
- Participates in emergency response, manages supplies, and maintains cleanliness.
- Rotates on call duties, pursues continuing education, and manages bio-hazardous waste.
- Adheres to radiation protection policies, conducts surveys, and maintains documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year experience in nuclear medicine technology.
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical management and radionuclide therapy.
- Associates degree in radiologic technology or related experience.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification from NMTCB or ARRT.
- Hawaii Medical Technologist Certification required at hire.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Preferred: one year general radiology experience;
Bachelor's degree in related field.
