Laboratory Assistant Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service
• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages
• Collect and prepare non-blood specimens
• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
• Access protected health information only when required to fulfill job duties

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing (bonus)
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (bonus)
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy and security standards when accessing PHI

Demonstrates expertise in patient care and specimen collection, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality control. Proficient in handling protected health information while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy standards.
