Overview
MANTECH seeks a driven and organized Security Specialist to join our team in Oahu, HI
.
This role supports delivery of critical physical, information, and supply chain security capabilities to protect logistics and sustainment activities in dynamic environments through safeguarding essential operational nodes, protecting sensitive infrastructure, and ensuring resilient and secure logistics capabilities.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Conducting site-specific risk assessments and implementing layered security solutions to protect logistics operations, facilities, and assets.
- Ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of operational data and digital infrastructure in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Assisting with facility security planning, physical access control systems, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems across ports, airfields, and warehouse sites.
- Participating in vetting processes for commercial vendors and logistics partners to minimize security vulnerabilities within the supply chain.
- Enforcing compliance with supply chain risk management protocols, including anti-counterfeit and unauthorized technology transfer safeguards.
- Contributing to the development and review of standard documentation including security plans, threat assessments, and incident reports.
- Ensuring all program activities are conducted in accordance with the contract’s security classification specifications and DoD 8570 training requirements.
- High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience in security operations, with direct support to DoD, IC, or military logistics and sustainment missions.
- Demonstrated experience integrating physical, cyber, and supply chain security protocols into operational environments.
- Working knowledge of OPSEC, information assurance (IA), facility security, and compliance with NISPOM, DoD 5220.22-M, and DoDD 5240.01.
- Proficiency in vetting commercial vendors for compliance with ITAR, FAR, DFARS, and applicable host nation laws.
- Strong writing skills to develop SOPs, training documentation, security incident reports, and continuity plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, cybersecurity, or related field.
- Certification in Security+ (or DoD 8570 equivalent), CISM, CISSP, or CPP (Board-certified protection professional).
- Familiarity with CMMC Level 2 compliance, Zero Trust Architecture, and secure portal platforms for logistics management.
- Knowledge of host-nation compliance environments including SOFA agreements and maritime or airfield security laws.
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
