System Administrator, VI; Virtual Infrastructure SME

Role Overview

The System Administrator, VI (Virtual Infrastructure) SME will oversee the maintenance, security, and performance of USINDOPACOM's Virtual Machine Operating Environment (VOE), comprising over 300 VMs across various security levels. This role involves system patching, security compliance, log monitoring, and collaboration with developers to enhance workflows.

Perform day-to-day system administration services, maintain security posture and STIG compliance, ensure VOE systems and applications are compliant with DoD and USINDOPACOM requirements, and review security and performance logs daily.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience managing VMware vCenter & Horizon View environments within DoD, experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD, and HQ USINDOPACOM regulations, and be certified as a VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP - DCV) 6 (or later).

• High School Diploma
• At least three years of experience managing, supporting, patching, backing up, and restoring VMware vCenter & Horizon View environments within DoDIAW DoD 8140.03-M, meeting the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications
• Experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD, and HQ USINDOPACOM regulations, directives, policies, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP - DCV) 6 (or later) certification
• At least two years of experience managing Cisco UCS in a DoD environment
• Experience managing VMware NSX, Rubrik, Cohesity, VMware vSan, vCOPS, vRO, Aria, and ESXi in a DoD environment
• Experience managing Tintri and Pure storage
• Experience supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents
• Required certifications: CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, CAP, CASP+ CE, HCISSP, CND, CLOUD+, SECURITY+ CE, CCNP SECURITY, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCSP, CCNA SECURITY, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
