- Level I – $5,555 to $7,020 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)
- Level II – $6,003 to $7,603 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)
Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Duties SummaryLevel I:
- Conducts the activities of a moderately active and complex Hawaiian Home Lands Homestead District; represents the department in the District; provides information and assistance to homestead applicants, homestead lessees, and the general public.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Level II:
- Supervises and participates in the activities of a significantly active and complex Hawaiian Home Lands Homestead District; represents the department in the District; provides information and assistance to homestead applicants, homestead lessees, and the general public.
- Manages the District Office.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Legal Authorization To Work The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience (Housing, Property, Loan Management)
- Level I: Two and one‑half years of professional experience.
- Level II: Three and one‑half (3‑1/2) years of professional experience and in one or a combination of the kind and quality of work described below.
- Progressively responsible work which required participation in, or the conduct of, most of the operational activities normally associated with management of housing projects such as development, implementation of local policies/procedures; supervise/train subordinates; budget/fiscal management; evaluation of operations/costs; and community/tenant relations.
- Progressively responsible work in real property management as an employee or agent of a real estate firm, bank, insurance company, etc., engaged in the management of residential or business properties. Must have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in most of the following activities such as property maintenance/repair; conducting property inspections; tenant selection, resolving complaints; property rental, prepare and conduct lease negotiations;
collection of delinquent accounts; fiscal fund management; and enforcement of rental/lease agreements. - Progressively responsible work in a real estate firm, bank, or financial institution engaged in financing new home or other building construction, agricultural or home improvement loans.
