Midlevel HAZMAT Analyst

** Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* + Maintains and reviews compliance records to ensure hazardous material operations meet federal and international legal standards.

+ Draft contract clauses and technical specifications for the procurement of HAZMAT storage and transportation services.

+ Prepare routine reports for management regarding regulatory updates and potential compliance vulnerabilities.

+ Coordinates with theater logistics partners to ensure all HAZMAT shipments are documented in accordance with the status of forces agreements (SOFA) and local environmental laws.

+ Assist in the legal review of subcontracting agreements to ensure proper flow-down of safety and environmental requirements.

+ Monitor regional logistical data to identify trends and ensure persistent compliance during surges in cargo movement.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Logistics, Business, or a related field;

+ 3+ years of position-relevant experience; foundational certification in HAZMAT handling or environmental compliance.

*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + 7+years of position-relevant experience; familiarity with USINDOPACOM logistics hubs and dangerous goods manifests; experience supporting legal or contracts departments in a DoD environment.

** Clearance Requirements:*
* + Must hold an active Secret clearance

* Physical Requirements:

*
* + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

+ Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
