** Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* + Plans and directs investigations to identify sources of environmental hazards that affect public health.

+ Collect and synthesize data from various scientific disciplines to study the impact of measurements on soil and water sources.

+ Validate Technical Reports and recommend actions based on observed data findings.

+ Leads the day-to-day coordination of environmental compliance for forward-deployed facilities and utility networks.

+ Oversee the integration of environmental monitoring tools and recommend process improvements to increase the efficiency of waste treatment systems.

+ Validate environmental After-Action Reports and develop tactical procedures to mitigate theater wide ecological risks.

+ Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* ** Senior Level*
* + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field and 10+ years of position-relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education).

+ Advanced technical certifications.

** Midlevel*
* + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field and 3+ years of position-relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education).

** Junior Level*
* + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field (relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education).

* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) trained or certified.

+

Experience with USSOCOM-specific environmental sustainment.

+ Background in quality gate oversight for remediation projects.

* Clearance Required:

* + Must hold an active Secret clearance

* Physical Requirements:

*
* + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

+ Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
