Part‑Time Warehouse Associate
Starting Pay: $17.00/Hour.
Work Schedule:
Monday thru Friday, 7:00AM – 11:00AM.
Assist in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays with book and non‑book product according to corporate process, meeting productivity and quality standards. Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components and sub‑components for cases, boxes, and displays, consistently meeting minimum required production, accuracy, or quality standards. Ensure all outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition.
Assist in the processing of returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays, monitoring inventory levels on applicable component product lines, and learning basic scanner proficiency (item inquiries and replenishment requests). Help with picking and packing of customer reorders, maintaining a neat, clean, safe, and organized work area, and performing seasonal inventory production‑line resets. Show proficiency in all Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, including Quality Assurance scanning.
Participate in Physical Inventory functions, count inventory, conduct Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events, and handle all merchandise carefully. Utilize warehouse equipment and tools safely, report unsafe conditions, and use proper lifting, packing, and handling techniques. Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards. Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the training program. Maintain attendance, punctuality, positive relationships with co‑workers and customers, and comply with drug and alcohol free policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
- Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
- Strong team player who gets along well with co‑workers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read English documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Lift boxes up to 50lbs occasionally, and 30lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
- Push wheeled cases weighing over 300lbs with an initial force of up to 50lbs and a sustained force of up to 30lbs.
- Stand, reach above and below shoulders, squat, bend, kneel, walk, stoop, crouch, crawl, and occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
- Accurately follow specific instructions for detailed assembly processes.
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; possess close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
