Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Entry‑Level Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin building a strong foundation in corporate finance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn how business operations translate into financial results.
Reports to: Director of Accounting
Location: Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Perform account reconciliations, including prepaid, accrual, and balance sheet accounts
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and maintain proper documentation
- Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with variance analysis and research discrepancies
- Maintain organized records and supporting schedules for audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business transactions and their accounting impact
- Provide support for external audits and internal reviews
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the accounting department
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance team
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; no prior work experience required
- Internship or academic experience using Microsoft Excel preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to follow direction and adapt to feedback and redirection
- Willingness to learn and develop business acumen
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Problem‑solving mindset and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data organization) preferred
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Demonstrate reliability, including consistent attendance, punctuality, and commitment to meeting work schedule expectations
- Hands‑on experience with full‑cycle accounting processes
- Exposure to how accounting supports broader business operations
