Safety Manager-Aiken, SC

Talascend is currently seeking a Safety Professional for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Aiken, South Carolina.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, ensuring all work is performed in full compliance with DOE, OSHA, and site‑specific requirements.

• Develop, implement, and maintain project‑specific safety programs and procedures
• Lead safety orientations, daily briefings, and ongoing training for project staff
• Conduct field audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
• Investigate incidents and manage corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with DOE, and OSHA requirements
• Serve as primary liaison with client and internal management on all safety matters
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all project operations

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Safety and Health from an accredited or BCSP‑recognized program
• At least seven (7) years of full‑time professional experience in the field of safety and health

• Prior experience working on DOE, nuclear, or high‑security industrial projects
• Proven leadership in field safety for construction or demolition operations
• Familiarity with electrical, confined space, and high‑pressure water systems
