Job Title:Senior Project Construction Manager Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
Short Summary about Job:
Manage all aspects of construction projects and maintenance activities on multiple complex, multi-million dollar capital projects, with primary responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, and cost from conceptual design through completion. Provide construction input throughout design, construction turnover, and project completion phases; assign and manage project teams; establish and control cost, schedule, and technical baselines; and develop construction execution and acquisition strategies for capital and subcontracted construction/design-build projects.
Additional duties include occasional oversight of large construction subcontract execution, developing and maintaining subcontract functional policies and procedures, and supporting constructability reviews and Title II support for capital projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 15–17 years of practical construction experience (Associate's degree and 17–19 years, or high school diploma and 19–21 years, considered equivalent)
- In-depth knowledge of construction, cost and scheduling, and subcontract administration, with the ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques
- Highly comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project management and project planning at the tactical level, including operations, maintenance, project startup, and construction management/subcontracts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance (an active clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties; the selected candidate will be notified when to apply based on specific work assignments)
- Ability to work a standard 40-hour work week under 5/8, 4/10, or 9/80 schedules, with overtime expected at times at the discretion of the Manager
- Active DOE clearance (L or Q) held within the past 2 years
- Experience developing large construction contracts for line-item capital projects
- Experience with oversight/management of subcontract/STR programs at Savannah River Site
- Experience with development of STR policies/procedures at Savannah River Site
- Area Security Access:
Clearance "Q" required. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI registration and an approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE/NNSA
