Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Manager opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work LocationAiken, SC
Duties- Manage project work control and planning activities to support safe and efficient execution of construction work.
- Lead development, review, coordination, and release of work packages in accordance with project procedures and requirements.
- Coordinate work planning priorities with Construction, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Scheduling, Operations, and other project organizations.
- Ensure work packages include applicable drawings, specifications, procedures, permits, inspections, testing, prerequisites, and work controls.
- Oversee planning and coordination of mechanical, piping, electrical, civil, and site infrastructure construction activities.
- Ensure work packages adequately identify hazards, system interfaces, isolations, LOTO requirements, and other work controls.
- Coordinate resolution of technical, material, scheduling, and field issues affecting work package execution.
- Monitor work package status, readiness, constraints, completion, and closeout.
- Provide leadership and technical direction to Work Planners and Work Control personnel.
- Support construction scheduling, look-ahead planning, system turnover, and project completion activities.
- Ensure completed work packages and associated records are properly documented and maintained.
- Minimum 7 years of work control, work planning, construction planning, field engineering, construction supervision, or related industrial experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading work planning or work control activities on industrial or large-scale construction projects.
- Experience developing and managing construction work packages.
- Knowledge of construction sequencing, work planning, permits, prerequisites, inspections, testing, and work controls.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, procedures, schedules, and technical requirements.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities with Engineering, Safety, Quality, Scheduling, and Construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Previous DOE, nuclear, federal, or highly regulated construction experience.
- Experience with formal DOE/nuclear work control processes.
- Experience with mechanical/piping, electrical, civil, or site infrastructure construction.
- Experience with LOTO, system isolation, testing, turnover, and commissioning interfaces.
- Previous Savannah River Site or other DOE site experience.
