- Previous experience with the use and implementation of 10 CFR 830, DOE O 413.3, DOE O 420.1, DOE STDs 3009, 1186, 1189 and related directives and standards is required.
- Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in developing and providing safety basis inputs to facility/project schedules, while meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Candidate must perform work safely and be proficient in performing Nuclear Safety Program assessments.
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
- Fifteen years of relevant experience in developing, reviewing, and maintaining safety basis documents and safety basis support documents is preferred.
- Demonstrated previous SRS nuclear safety engineering experience is preferred.
- SRNS Nuclear & Criticality Safety Engineering Duties
Support the development, review, and implementation of nuclear safety documentation for various facilities at the Savannah River Site. Provide technical assistance in developing and reviewing nuclear safety documents and analyses, technical safety requirements, and related technical support documentation. Ensure that the developed nuclear safety documentation complies with requirements and as necessary, applicable controls are implemented in field procedures. Conduct Nuclear Safety Program assessments and maintain program manuals.
