Aecon’s rapidly growing federal business is seeking Project Managers to lead the planning and execution of construction projects at Department of Energy, Department of War and US Army Corps of Engineers facilities. In this role, you will lead cross‑functional teams, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure all project deliverables meet Aecon’s rigorous standards for safety, quality, cost, and schedule. Successful candidates will play a key role in the growth and success of our business unit and manage projects in the field.

What You'll Do Here- Serve as the primary point of contact with our clients, engineering partners, and field operations, ensuring seamless communication to support our execution.
- Lead tasks to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead the process for effective change order management and resolution.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Develop and implement active risk mitigation strategy.
- Lead project teams in review and analysis of project performance to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Drive financial performance through accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting; ensure profitability and cash flow targets are achieved.
- Support all phases of construction, from pre‑construction planning and procurement through commissioning and closeout.
- Promote development of technical solutions to address complex challenges.
- Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with company and client requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all regulatory and environmental standards.
- Lead an interdisciplinary team and ensure the project has capacity and expert capabilities in engineering; procurement; construction activities; finance; design management; project controls; contract management; quality; labor relations; and safety.
- Lead by example to maintain a positive safe respectful work environment and oversee / mentor the work of junior team members.
