HVAC​/Ventilation Design Engineer

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an HVAC/Ventilation Design Engineer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site
.

Work Location:

Aiken, SC
.

• Prepare ventilation calculations, equipment sizing, airflow analyses, ductwork modifications, and system design documentation.
• Support design changes to air handling systems, fan systems, filtration systems, and pressure-control features.
• Evaluate room and system changes for impacts to habitability, ventilation effectiveness, and confinement intent.
• Coordinate with radiological, structural, mechanical, and fire protection disciplines.
• Support field verification, balancing, testing, and turnover activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in HVAC or industrial ventilation design.
• Knowledge of airflow and ventilation system fundamentals.

• Experience with confinement ventilation, HEPA filtration, or once-through industrial ventilation systems.
• Familiarity with ventilation requirements in hazardous or regulated facilities.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
