Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer

Position SummaryThe I&C Engineer provides support engineering services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walk downs, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: P&IDs;
Control Logics;
Loop Diagrams;
Instrument Indices;
Setpoint Lists;
Instrument and Control Valve Specifications; DCS and PLC Design;
Instrument Location and Installation Design;
Panel Layouts; and Vendor Document Review.
Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walk downs, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to:
- P&IDs
- Control Logics
- Loop Diagrams
- Instrument Indices
- Setpoint Lists
- Instrument and Control Valve Specifications
- DCS and PLC Design
- Instrument Location and Installation Design
- Panel Layouts
- Vendor Document Review
- Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
- Candidate must demonstrate design experience with PLCs and distributed control systems.
- Candidate demonstrating experience in 2D Microstation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred.
- Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.
- BS Degree in one of the following disciplines:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, I&C Engineering - Currently registered as a Professional Engineer in one of the above disciplines.
A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRR utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.
