Engineering roles perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. Responsibilities include designing and scaling up manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment; testing manufactured products; estimating time and cost; overseeing construction and maintenance; analyzing engineering problems; developing standards and procedures; and providing expert advice.

Multidiscipline personnel own a broad engineering scope and work as generalists across multiple disciplines.

• Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions for assigned problems within federal nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
• Begin using SRNS systems and meet SRNS requirements with minimal supervisory guidance.
• Accept complex tasks and receive minimal guidance from senior professionals.
• Work directly with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain system operability.
• Perform system configuration control including design development, component replacement, facility walkdowns, drawing reviews/updates, procedure development/approval, and preventive maintenance identification.
• Utilize federal and national codes and standards.
• Review and approve work packages/system maintenance.
• Collaborate with design or project management organizations on large scale designs and projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field plus at least five years of experience, OR Master’s degree plus at least two years, OR Doctoral degree.
• Experience and education equivalencies considered.
