Education & Experience
Mid-level qualifications are defined as follows:
- Master’s degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or a related field + 5 years practical experience
- Bachelor’s degree in similar fields + 7 years practical experience (equivalent)
- Associate’s degree + 11 years practical experience (equivalent)
- High‑school diploma + 15 years relevant experience (equivalent)
- Strong personal computer skills
- Expert proficiency with automated accounting, cost management, scheduling, and estimating systems
- Practical experience using the Site Business systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of project‑management and cost and schedule control at the tactical level, including operations, maintenance, startup and construction
- Primavera and COBRA expertise (required)
- DOE clearance (L or Q) active within the last two years
- Primavera and COBRA experience
Project‑controls summits in Albuquerque, NM or Kansas City, MO may require travel. Estimated travel funding is $5,000 per year and travel must be approved by procurement before it can be initiated.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Develop, implement and maintain total project controls, financial analysis and estimating applications
- Prepare business/financial plans and reports on a periodic or ad‑hoc basis
- Create cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, WBS, and spend‑out plans
- Analyze cost and schedule variances, identify root causes and propose mitigation plans
- Perform variance, statistical, scenario and other financial analysis techniques
- Develop and update costing rates, explain rates for the budgeting process, and maintain rates in People Soft
- Design and implement advanced system and process enhancements for financial controls
- Lead and train project‑controls personnel, and provide technical direction
Standard 40‑hour work week. Shift options include 5/8, 4/10, or 9/80 schedules. Each workday has a 30‑minute lunch. Overtime is expected as needed.
Required Qualifications- Education and experience as described under “Education & Experience”
- DOE “Q” security clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain it)
DOE clearance (L or Q) active within the last two years.
