Pro Sidian Seeks a Civil Engineer
- Engineering to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This position is located in the Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina Area.

Civil Engineer
- Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for TBC (Engineering Services) and statement of work (SOW) while maintaining required qualifications Nuclear & Environmental Management Sector. Pro Sidian Team Members work as part of the Civil Engineer Engagement Team Cadre to serve as a Civil Engineer responsible for performing a variety of Civil Engineering assignments, including design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse process equipment and systems, and generally as a member of a design, construction, operations, or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments.

A Civil Engineer, or Licensed Civil Engineer, is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of roads, bridges, waterways, sewage treatment plants and other types of infrastructure. Their duties include using software programs to design structural blueprints, adhering to construction laws and environmental constraints and visiting construction sites to monitor the building process. The Civil Engineer is responsible for designing and supervising infrastructure projects.

Under the direct supervision of the Supervising Discipline Engineer, perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation and maintenance as a member of a design, analysis or review team. They ensure each project is feasible by analyzing local and environmental impacts and making sure that they can be completed on time within the budget restrictions.

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements), and Pro Sidian Team Members work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre to fulfill Civil Engineering requirements. A Civil Engineer, or Facilities Civil Engineer, designs, builds, and tests various mechanical devices, like industrial machines, transportation systems, and robotics equipment. In addition, Civil Engineers perform many manufacturing, construction, facility maintenance, scientific and technical tasks related to the process of Nuclear, Energy, and Environmental Management Sector products/services/deliverables.

Some of their typical duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following worksite functionalities (Specific Task Order Performance Work Statements May supersede listed tasks for this role):

  • Analyzing survey reports, long-range plans, maps and other data to design new projects
  • Completing and submitting all permit applications to the appropriate agencies and ensuring projects are compliant throughout the design and construction stages
  • Conduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
  • Considering budget, regulations and environmental hazards during risk-analysis stage
  • Coordinate disciplinary actions with Human Resources.
  • Coordinate manpower and resources to execute projects to meet or exceed customers' critical timelines.
  • Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.
  • Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
  • Direct daily activities/work load of assigned shops, schedule/execute work orders and PMIs.
  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
  • Ensure personnel remain current with certification, licensing and training requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.
