- Construction (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and Pro Sidian Team Members (# FTe's:

Safety as a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obey safety rules and make safety an integral part of each task performed.

Understand and interpret the Department of Energy (DOE) Hoisting and Rigging Standard. Understand and interpret the Savannah River Site (SRS) Hoisting and Rigging Manual.

Understand and implement the Liquid Waste procedure for crane use. Act as the designee for the Liquid Waste Rigging Authority.

Serve, as requested, on the SRS Hoisting and Rigging Committee.

Review and approve critical and ordinary lift plans to ensure procedural compliance. Provide technical direction to craftsmen who are executing the lift plans.

Provide training to craftsmen on lift plan implementation and procedural compliance. Provide direction and training to less experienced engineers.

Ability to read and interpret a variety of crane load charts and apply load deductions to lift plans. Perform assessments of rigging program attributes to ensure procedural compliance.

Design below-the-hook lifting devices in accordance with ASME BTH-1

Provide interface with applicable organizations for safety and/or security concerns affecting hoisting and rigging activities

Qualifications

The Construction Senior Rigging Engineer
- Construction shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.

The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Construction Senior Rigging Engineers working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) High School diploma with a minimum 15+ years practical rigging engineer experience

BS in Civil/Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

Registered Professional Engineer (preferred) A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Construction Rigging and Engineering A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRR construction utilizes a 10 hour per day - four days per week schedule.

A standard work week is Monday through Thursday 6:15am - 4:45pm. However, alternate schedules could be employed.
