Pro Sidian Seeks an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer (DS111) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.
This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements) and Pro Sidian Team Members work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre to fulfill environmental management and engineering requirements. Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer
- Engineering (DS111) Candidates The I&C Engineer as a Professional Grade position.
Provide support engineering services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams.
Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walk-downs, design development, and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: a) P&IDs Control Logics; b) Loop Diagrams; c) Instrument Indices; d) Setpoint Lists; e) Instrument and Control Valve Specifications; f) DCS and PLC Design; g) Instrument Location and Installation Design; h) Panel Layouts, and I) Vendor Document Review.
Individuals at times will be required to travel off-Site to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other Engineering organizations.
Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- BS Degree in one of the following disciplines:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, I&C Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in one of the above disciplines.
Experience/
Skills:
- The candidate must demonstrate five (5) years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
- Candidate must demonstrate design experience with PLCs and distributed control systems. Candidate demonstrating experience in 2D Micro Station Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred.
- The candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.
- The Instrumentation and Control Engineer candidate must demonstrate five (5) years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
- Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
- Requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the I&C Engineers working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy)
Work Hours:
A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch.
Area Security Access: A security clearance is not required.
