Pro Sidian seeks a Project Support Specialist
- Engineering headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients. The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia.
SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.
This position currently best aligns with the Program/Project Administration Support Specialist DA 110 Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive "Jugaad" and dialogue targeting mission success. Pro Sidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808.
Services anticipated includes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioactive waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).
Project Support Specialist
- Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and Provide project administrative support for development/ preparation /document management in support on engineering activities on either a project and/or program for Savannah River Remediation (SRR). Conduct the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of assigned program/project activities in accordance with the requirements of approved Engineering Program/Project tasks and plans
- Analyze, review, assess, and extract relevant information from technical design documents to assign and incorporate technical data into records/databases requiring little or no corrections with minimal supervision.
- Support administration of databases development, changes and revisions.
- Support administration of database maintenance.
- Implement of records/documentation, including examination/evaluation records/documentation..
- Develop and implement Program/Project plans.
- Facilitate record/document reviews internally and externally.

The Project Support Specialist
- Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.
The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Program/Project Administrative Support Specialists working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) Bachelors Science or Associate Degree in Business, Communications, Education or English, with 10 years equivalent experience in project / technical support or document /configuration control in / nuclear/chemical facilities/environment.
Candidate must be familiar with electronic document control and configuration management systems such as the SRS Linking Document Database (LDD)
- Prior experience with Safety Basis Implementation at SRS.
- Interpersonal skills so as to establish and cultivate positive working relationships and interfaces with both internal and external customers
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point A 40 hour work week schedule is anticipated for this position. SRR utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position
TRAVEL:
Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
