- Engineering (Time and Materials | Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.
This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and Pro Sidian Team Members (# FTe's:
1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category | Prof) to fulfil T&M
- Time and Materials (T&M) requirements.

Mechanical Engineer
- Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services
- Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and
Provide engineering support for process/mechanical systems (e.g. HVAC, utilities, material handling systems, pumping systems, etc.) Identify system concepts and determine system functional and technical requirements. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve problems. Ensure operation within technical and license requirements. Propose and develop improvements including system/equipment upgrades and plant modifications. As Design Authority, prepares system modification input documents, provides technical input (e.g. for procedure development) and approves work packages, and advises operations/maintenance/project management for optimizing day to day operations.
Generates facility design description documents and system design descriptions, conducts major technical alternative studies.
Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents and process flow diagrams.
Engineering services will be provided using Savannah River Remediation Company (SRR) and Savannah River Site (SRS) processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

The Mechanical Engineer
- Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineers working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and five (5) years minimum experience or registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering. Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
Candidate must have working knowledge of National Codes and Standards.
Candidate must have ability to walkdown systems in the field.
Experience with equipment systems in nuclear or hazardous environments preferred. A 40 hour work week schedule as a nticipated for this position. SRR utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
B). Work week excludes WSRC holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
