Pro Sidian seeks a 3D-PDS Structural Designer
- Engineering (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and Pro Sidian team members work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30061) to fulfill T&M
- Time and Materials (T&M) requirements.

The drafter/cad operator I as a SCA grade position.

3D-PDS Structural Designer
- Engineering candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services
- Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

This operator prepares drawings or computer models of simple, easily visualized structures, systems, parts or equipment from sketches or marked-up prints, selects appropriate templates/computer programs or uses a compass and other equipment needed to complete assignments. Drawings and models fit familiar patterns and present few technical problems. Supervisor provides detailed instructions on new assignments, gives guidance when questions arise, and reviews completed work for accuracy.

Typical assignments include: a. Revisions to the original drawings of a plumbing system by increasing pipe diameters. b. Drawing from sketches, the building floor plans, determining size, spacing and arrangement of freehand lettering according to scale. c. Drawing simple land profiles from predetermined structural dimensions and reduced survey notes. d. Tracing river basin maps and enters symbols to denote stream sampling locations, municipal and industrial waste discharges, and water supplies.

e. Preparing a computer model of a room, building, structure from data, prints, photos. Set-up and maintain project environment in PDS;

Set-up and maintain RDB such as material spec and geometry library in PDS;

Set-up piping ISO and GA drawing;

Prepare MTO interface file for Smart Plant Materials as product;

Prepare Clash Check and various kinds of reports and model review file for checking model quality;

Execute other data administration work;

Instruct and coordinate piping designer and PDS operator;

Coordinate and/or troubleshooting for PDS related problem.

The 3D-PDS Structural Designer
- Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.

The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Required qualifications are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator I position. Minimum education are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator I position. Base experience/skills are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator I position. Standard work hours are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator I position.

Area security access/security clearance are commensurate with functional and technical requirements of the Drafter/Cad Operator I position. 1. 3 years or more of experience in user support work in actual project using PDS (piping design software)

2. Knowledge of material system such as Smart Plant Materials;

3. Knowledge of EPC projects for oil/gas processing plants;

4. Knowledge of basic piping design;

5. Knowledge of general CAD application such as Microstation and AutoCAD;

6. Knowledge of programming such as RIS, SQL;

7. Good English communication skills;

8. Knowledge of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation.
