Pro Sidian seeks a Mechanical Engineer
- Engineering headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients. The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia.

SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.

This position currently best aligns with the Mechanical Engineer (no code) Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive "Jugaad" and dialogue targeting mission success. Pro Sidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808.

Services anticipated includes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioactive waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).

Mechanical Engineer
- Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and The Mechanical Engineer is a Professional Grade position.

Provide engineering support for process/mechanical systems (e.g. HVAC, utilities, material handling systems, pumping systems, etc.) Identify system concepts and determine system functional and technical requirements. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve problems. Ensure operation within technical and license requirements. Propose and develop improvements including system/equipment upgrades and plant modifications. As Design Authority, prepares system modification input documents, provides technical input (e.g. for procedure development) and approves work packages, and advises operations/maintenance/project management for optimizing day to day operations.

Generates facility design description documents and system design descriptions, conducts major technical alternative studies.

Engineering support services include engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents and process flow diagrams.

Engineering services will be provided using Savannah River Remediation Company (SRR) and Savannah River Site (SRS) processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
