Duties: As a Structural Engineer, you will provide design and construction oversight for structural engineering tasks on assigned SRR Engineering Teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct analysis of structural systems for static and dynamic loads using manual calculations and computer programs.
• Design concrete, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, timber, and composite structures.
• Perform foundation and anchorage design.
• Conduct structural analyses for impact, over pressure, and accident conditions.
• Prepare CSI specifications and review vendor documents.
• Interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations, which may require occasional off-site travel.
• Provide engineering services using SRR processes and procedures under programmatic guidance.

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency in STAAD software.
  • Working knowledge of national codes and standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with 2D Microstation CAD software.
• Skills: Ability to perform field walkdowns of systems.

Work Hours: A standard 40-hour work week is required. SRS offers various work schedules, including:

• 5/8s:
  Eight hours per day, five days a week.
• 4/10s:
  Ten hours per day, four days a week.
• 9/80s:
  Nine hours per day, with five days in Week A and four days in Week
  
  B.

Workdays exclude SRR holidays, and each day includes a 30-minute lunch.

Security Access: A security clearance is not required for this position.

The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
