Job DescriptionPro Sidian Seeks a Mechanical Process Engineer to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements) and Pro Sidian Team Members work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre to fulfill T&M
- Time and Materials requirements.
Mechanical Process Engineer Candidates shall work to support requirements for RFQ
197858R Mechanical Process Engineer (Engineering Services) and provide designer services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams.
Designer support services include engineering analysis, 3D Modeling using Plant Design System (PDS) software, design development, and generation of design output documents including but not limited to:
Piping;
Layouts; HVAC Duct layout;
Site Layout; and Vendor Document Reviews.
- The individual at times will be required to travel off-Site to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other Engineering organizations.
- Design services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Degree is required. Formal training beyond High School in Computer Aided Design or Drafting is preferred.
Experience /Skills:
- Candidate must demonstrate eight (8) years experience as a Designer, including experience designing layout of piping, and HVAC ducts.
- Significant experience in PDS is required.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling using PDS is required. Proficiency in Bentley 2D Microstation CADD is required.
- Experience with Intergraph 3D PDS including Equipment, Pipe, Isogen, 2D Ortho set-up and Ortho Extraction Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.
Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

- You must be a United States Citizen - Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
- All Pro Sidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.

- Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
TRAVEL:
Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, as allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.

Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
