Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of constructing a project, managing a team of field and office engineers. You will be the main conduit of information between the project manager and the team for technical, cost, and schedule information. You will develop the people below you with a succession plan to project management.
LocationThis position is located in Aiken, SC, on an active DOE construction site. Daily attendance on site is required. This is NOT a remote or hybrid opportunity.
Responsibilities- Manage project scheduling and planning activities.
- Support cost, revenue, and cash flow management.
- Lead work planning efforts.
- Oversee temporary engineering and construction engineering functions.
- Coordinate technical, schedule, and cost information between project teams and leadership.
- Supervise and develop field and office engineers.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Support project execution on large-scale DOE construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of construction experience.
- Experience leading or managing engineers and/or other construction field personnel.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software, is highly desired.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, is highly desired.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel and relocate throughout the Southeast and Northwest as needed (SC, TN, ).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, and project excellence.
- US Citizenship required, and ability to pass a security background check to obtain a facility access badge.
- Direct involvement in DOE and advanced nuclear projects.
- Clear progression path into Project Management.
- Exposure to EPC project delivery, project controls, construction execution, and client management.

- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
