Job Description

POSITION TITLE:

3D-PDS STRUCTURAL DESIGNER

DUTIES:

Provide designer services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Designer support services include 3D Modeling using Plant Design System (PDS) "Frameworks" software, design development, and generation of design output documents including but not limited to:
Structural

Concrete buildings and foundations
Structural steel for supports, platforms, and buildings
Rebar detailing
Steel detailing
Preparation of fabrication drawings
Review of vendor documents
Commodity supports
Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for structural design such as IBC, AISC, ACI, AWS, NFPA, AASHTO, and OSHA

Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
Design services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High School Degree is required. Formal training beyond High School in Computer Aided Design or 3D modeling is preferred.

Experience /

Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate eight (8) years experience as a Structural Designer, including experience with structural detailing and design of building structures and commodity supports. Knowledge of 3D structural modeling and significant experience using PDS "Frameworks" is required. Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week
