JOB SUMMARY:
Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following:
• Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
• Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
• Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

WORK HOURS: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/l0s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week

B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Education: MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
• Candidate must demonstrate a sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
• Candidate must have the ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
