Description

The Field Service technician is responsible for providing customer service and technical support to our customers at their site.

• Operates within a team-oriented field service group to provide customer service and technical expertise of equipment and process.
• Maintain a region of accounts, as well as periodically assist in the trial and setup process for potential new customers.
• Strive to continually improve dilution equipment and application process of anti-tack.
• Preventive maintenance of level control systems, PLC’s, pneumatic pumps, motors, etc.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical and pneumatic circuits.
• Maintain inventory of parts on service vehicle and customer job box.
• Respond to customer issues via phone or service trip if required.
• Assist in budget management for accounts.
• Recognize opportunity for growth in existing accounts.
• Effectively communicate issues and solutions to customers.
• Maintain product inventory at customer sites.

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or within a team setting. Must have the ability to effectively present information to management, customers and other employees. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Meets all job specific education requirements as deemed necessary.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; training is considered a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical service.

• Stands, bends, stoops, squats, reaches, twists, and otherwise moves continuously during the work day.
• Frequently walks throughout the workday.
• Frequently reaches above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh 30 – 50 pounds.
• Pushes and pulls frequently.
• Functions and operates comfortably in a very active fast-paced environment.
• Endures extreme temperatures of heat and cold to include a wet environment.
• Withstands loud noise and distractions.

The job duties are performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment and on the plant floor.
