Forklift/Loader Operator - Aiken, SC

The Forklift/Loader Operator is responsible for the proper care and operation of equipment such as forklifts and loaders, and for maintaining a safe working environment.

• Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts
• Operate company equipment safely
• Assist with maintenance of company equipment and vehicles
• Record vehicle information accurately
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
• Follow yard safety guidelines (speed limits, etc.)
• Load and unload vehicles as required
• Pass training and safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate basic equipment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• HS diploma or GED preferred

• At least two years of work experience
• One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred

• Ability to complete hiring paperwork electronically
• Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
• Perform duties requiring strength and stamina
• Navigate confined spaces and uneven areas
• Climb ladders and maintain balance
• Hear and respond to voice commands and alarms
• Visual acuity and color discrimination for heights and uneven surfaces
• Safety/steel toe shoes required
