Job Family DescriptionProcedures personnel develop and document procedures and electronic rounds (eRounds) for program and facility operations using organizational processes and software. They ensure procedures include flow down of requirements from Department of Energy Orders, federal regulations, and consensus codes and standards to comply with contractual requirements.
Discipline DescriptionProcedure personnel are responsible for the development of site-wide and company policies, procedures, and electronic rounds (eRounds) related to the operation and management of programs and facilities. They develop, analyze, and revise existing administrative processes and management controls including standard operating practices, procedures, eRounds, management systems, and documentation. They develop and/or coordinate improved policies, methods, procedures, eRounds, instructions, and forms to achieve greater operational efficiency, increase safety, and to ensure compliance with regulations.
They work with subject matter experts to develop new procedures and incorporate changes to existing procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
This position will lead and direct the development and delivery of procedural document programs for SRNS. This responsibility means ensuring that all procedural documents are maintained in a coordinated, standardized and compliant manner, while initiating change to meet the strategic vision of SRNS. This includes strategic planning responsibilities for long-term success for the company and DOE, as well as a strong leadership role in safety throughout the organization.
In addition, this position will provide leadership and management in development and implementation of a variety of programs and will frequently be called to represent the company and/or director and assist with director's duties and responsibilities.
This particular position manages all the Site-Wide Procedures groups in Operations Procedures to include Area Completion Projects, B-Area Labs, E-Area, F-Area, H-Canyon and Outside Facilities, K-Area, L-Area, Site Services, Maintenance, and Construction. This position also interfaces routinely with the
Functional Area
Program Manager for the Conduct of Operations as well as other Site-Wide Procedures managers and groups to further internally driven missions and collaborate on organizational consistency.
- Eight or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus five or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus three or more year of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
- Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
- Extensive experience in procedure writing, procedure processing database systems (e.g., Electronic Procedure System)
- Knowledge of plant operation, understanding of plant interrelationships and safety envelopes
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills of experienced, multi-disciplined personnel
- Experience in facilitating teams from diverse organizations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence audiences at a wide range of levels
- Interpersonal skills to establish and cultivate positive working relationships and interfaces with both internal and external customers.
