primary function
under the general supervision of the residential director, manages personnel and programmatic areas for one to two intermediate care facilities for persons with developmental disabilities ensuring that all oidd standards and dph regulations are met. Coordinates, implements, and monitors the active treatment programs chosen by the residents and developed by an interdisciplinary team to meet the needs and maximize the independence of residents living in the icf/.
Responsible for hiring, training, and managing residential services managers, lpns, and direct care staff to carry out the active treatment programs while safeguarding the health, safety, dignity, respect, choices, and independence of residents who live in the homes in a manner that encourages those receiving supports to indicate their opinions and preferences and assists them in achieving outcomes that are important to them.

supervises the delivery of training and habilitation servicesdevelops opportunities for individuals in residences to be included in the activities of their community, and fosters the establishment of positive friendships with individuals not affiliated with the tri-development centersupervises residential services managers, lpns and all other direct service staffassures that the residential services managers, lpns and all other direct service staff are adequately trained in performing the duties of their positionstakes appropriate actions when subordinate staff fail to adequately perform the duties required of their positionsprovides appropriate and applicable service coordination services for individuals in the community residencesreviews assessments and other pertinent data for validity and reliabilitydevelops specialized assessments or modifies existing assessments to better determine the training needs of the individuals being serveddevelops service goals with input of members of the interdisciplinary team, including the resident, other service providers, and his/her family, where appropriateserves as the coordinator in the preparation and implementation of residential services program plans, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of professionals involved with each program areawith the approval of the residential director/director of crcf/icf/cth i’s and/or executive director, the qidp is responsible for disciplinary action of the residential services manager and direct service staffthe qidp is responsible for initiating the hiring process of residential services managers in a timely mannerauthorizes leave time of residential services managers and lpnmonitors/evaluates job performance of residential services managers, lpns, and rspsmonitors, and with the input of the director of nursing and residential services manager, evaluates the job performance of lpnsobtains residential services manager input in evaluating direct service staff performance and finalizes staff evaluationsaggressively monitors, assesses, and reports resident’s progressserves as a member of the management team for residential programs and provides input in decisions related to admissions and dischargesresponsible for calling meeting of the interdisciplinary team in order to discuss any concerns which may warrant amending program plansresponsible for ensuring that staff are scheduled in a manner conducive to best meeting the requirements for active treatment in the absence of the residential services managercoordinates the provision of active treatment across all service areas (i.e., public schools, adult day program, competitive employment, contracted services such as occupational, physical, and speech and language therapies,…
