Our plant has a few roles in Production/Operations that an external candidate can enter into, but the main role we're seeking to fill is the Slitter Operator.
The Slitter Operator (or Mat Slitter Packer) works in our rework area, operating the slitter machines and our core cutter. This role processes blocked stock into shippable product by salvaging good quality material from rolls containing visual quality defects. Responsibilities include examining the product for visual imperfections, reporting on daily progress made against the schedule, tracking work in the computer, aiding the production lines when there is a need for re-wrapping and/or re-labeling material, and will cross-train to support production in needed areas.
