We are seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to join our team at Emerson in Aiken, SC. In this role, you will work with the Stockroom Supervisor and be responsible for operations within the Materials department, including daily cycle counts, reconciliation of discrepancies, and entry of finished goods inventory transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and physical inventory entries.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and update inventory records.
  • Enter all finished goods inventory transactions and perform reconciliations when required.
  • Keep picking slips organized and maintain a clean work area.
  • Use sound judgment in analyzing data and transaction circumstances.
  • Determine appropriate actions within accepted practices.
  • Work accurately and with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and Supervisors in Shipping and stockroom on routine matters.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to all safety rules; stop work if unsafe and report concerns immediately.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and willingness to assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of experience in data entry.
  • Exposure to manufacturing plant conditions, including noise, dust, oil, and grease.
  • Proper PPE including safety glasses, ear plugs, and/or safety shoes.
  • Ability to work at different stations as needed.
